Firstly, majority of unemployed Youth both in the rural and urban set-ups waste away in the matatu transport industry. This is mainly due to three factors;
- Lack of organizational structures in the industry,
- Easy flow of unaccounted money where the largest daily collection ends up in their pockets causing high levels of social indiscipline and disorder among the Youth and,
- Lack of clear policy by the Government's on the industry in law and order.
Bodaboda transport is a motorbike transport system for short distances for a small fee. The strains in the operations ranges from the meager revenue earned to health implications that the operators are involved in. Most Youths cannot afford to buy a single motorbike on their own.
Unscrupulous traders exploit the Youth by buying them motorbike on condition that they part with the larger part of the day's revenue, leaving the Youth tired, discouraged and economically abused. This program is seeking funding agencies that will fund the purchase of motor bikes, which are better instruments of trade for the Youth as opposed to manually handled motorbikes.
